DANCING WITH CLASS 820!!!

oh my god guess what remenber when i told you guys that there were going to be some changes for class 820. well guess what this change is so COOL! class 820 is going to do dancing you since class 820 is sooo well behaved mr.decastro diceded to make 820 get in a dancing progarm WHOO!! that is so much fun right. well there are very nice types of music for this program the following are:

1) .merengue

2).salsa

3).ballroom
4).waltz

5).folk and swing
etc

for me this is a good program cause i know that there are many dancers in class 820 this program ends on march. i hope that this program will put class 820 on the spot well bye!!!

TRIPS FOR CLASS 820!!!!!!!!!!

HOORAY!!! class 820 has a lot of trips coming and going like for example you all properly all ready know that class 820 went to the museum of moving images and that the had a good time well now he the class is going to a whole new trip they are going to: THE STATUE OF LIBERTY IN ELLIS ISLAND that is super cool!

but that is not the only trip that class 820 is going to. they are also, going to midtown on December,13th,2008 which is a Friday and they are also going to the library on December,3,2008 which is on a Wednesday isn't that great well that's all the time we have together I'm hungry and is lunch time bye!

TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY WE WAS SO EXITED ABOUT THE FIELD TRIPS AND THE PLAY THEY WERE DOING DOWN STAIRS.WE ACT OUT ALITTLE BIT IN CLASS BUT I KNOW THAT NEXT WEEK WILL BE A GOOD WEEK.EXPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE THE FIELD TRIP WE ARE GOING ON TUESDAY CLASS REMEMBER TO COME BECASE ITS GOING TO BE A QUIZ GRADE.IF YOU DON'T COME YOU ARE GOING TO LOOSE 25 POINTS.REMEMBER TO DRESS WARM CAUSE ITS GOING TO BE FREEEEEEEEEEEZING.KEEP YOU POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR .

Question:what's the most important quality you have for the teachers?
Answer:I think a teachers quality to be able to have teaching skills because they can't come to work and don't have nothing to teach the students. A teacher have an quality to understand a student and to know how to help a student when they need help with their classwork or to do anything that deals with what the class is working on. another is that they should be able to have organize work to give the students when they come to school and is ready to do work and to finish everything .A teacher should have patientence for when a student needs to finish his or her work at least give them some time to finish or give in the work to the teacher.

As you may know class 820 is doing a lot of writing strategies in E.L.A. One of my favorite writing strategies is BIG FOX!! know you may be thinking what BIG FOX stands for, well every writing strategy has to mean something and so BIG FOX means:

that's what big fox means. this writing strategy is a good strategy because you can find bold,italics,graphics,facts, in books magazines etc. in different stuff this why big fox is my favorite strategies!!!

my little story

one afternoon their were two people in my classroom,their was meera and manda.they were in the classroom doing some research on the internet,then suddently meera heard a noise she quickly turned around and there it was,a rat running around the classroom.when manda heard,she was doing some silly stuff with her face like a clown trying to make kids laugh.manda stood up and opened the locker to check if the rat was there.she took out a box filled with candy in it.she was so scared she told meera to take out the candies to see if the rat was there.manda was so scared she thought the rat was going to pop out of the box,but it didn't.it was time for meera to go home so she was making fun of manda and said "have fun with the rats."

NOVEMBER/THANKSGIVING!!!

OMG!!! can you believe that November is here that means that thanksgiving is coming but thanksgiving does not mean that you get to eat mashed potatoes and get to eat apple pie and best of all TURKEY is not for all of that thanksgiving means that you get to spend time with your family and get to talk to then watch home videos or look at old pictures or best of all have quality time with your parents. thanksgiving means that we get to remember the history about the pilgrims and the indians and how first the didn't like each other but the spirit of the love and hunger got then together and thats thanks giving started. We should thank the pilgrims and the indians for starting at tradition and most of all tank our family and GOD for putting food in our plates all the time

Hi Class-

I'm sitting with Ms. Rodriguez at a Cosi. I wanted to touch base with you guys because I just got an e-mail that reminded me of you.

A woman named Kaycee, who came to visit several times this year and last, sent out an e-mail with a picture she took while walking home last night. We will spend some time talking about in class on Monday, but I wanted to throw it up on the blog for you to look at this weekend.

I also wanted to touch base with you about your grades. Ms. Miranda and I submitted our grades to Mr. DeCastro last night. So many of you got high 80s and 90s...a true demonstration of your commitment to being the success that lives in our classroom. Comparing these grades to the ones you got only 6 months ago is very impressive. We can NOT wait to share your successes with your parents and guardians at parent/teacher conferences.

Getting back to business:
-9 steps this weekend ( 2 hours and 15 minutes of reading)
-Newsblasts (both sides) www.timeforkids.com is a great resource. The articles are written between 4-6th grade levels. Please write in complete sentences.
-Math reflection on the fire hydrant problem

We'll be taking a predictive state ela test on Monday. And, the top 5 are getting a trip to the upper east side...where we'll have some cold stone! I think I might be more excited than you!! CHANGES FOR CLASS 820

Hello and welcome to another segment with you're super star MARIA as you may know that we have been talking about how the class is doing know that we have finished there very first quarter HOORAY FOR CLASS 820!!!!!! but anyway now that we have started a new quarter some changes are being made to class 820 but don't get worried my fellow readers because these changes are good. See the class is getting new students and there BOYS!!!! the new boys in our class are called Alex and Malik and you see malik has been in this school before but Alex in the other hand haven't so we as good persons that we are we need to treat them with respect because you need to give respect to earn respect. Also the class is going to start a special thing to be good in 100 BC. Well thats all for today thank you for joining me in another segment i am maria GOOD BYE!!!!!!!!

On wednesday class 820 has a trip to the Museum Of Moving Images. Is in Queens.

We're going to take the subway.

Today my class had 2 quizes. One for Math and one for ELA.

The math one was about Exponents standard 8.n.2. The one for ELA was just reading short articles and answering multiple choice questions. The ELA quiz was harder then the math quiz. But I tried my best.

If we have mastery on any of the math quizzes, then Ms. Miranda brings in home made brownies and give one each to the people that got mastery.

From the first day of school we been keeping track of who does there homework and every day you do your homework you get a sticker next to your name. The first 5 people who have done there homework from September 4,08 going on every day would get to go to coldstones .Now the good part…when u finish the whole row next to your name you get to go to coldstone to get ice cream. As you may know class 820 has two teachers and one of them MS.MIRANDA has ran the marathon and class 820 is so happy as you may know ms.miranda had a limit witch was 4 hours but by lucky she made it by 4 hours and 6 minutes wow!!

well in the morning we did our blast from the past then we went over it. after that we mad cards for ms. Miranda for her marathon for running 4 hours and 6 minutes . woo ho!!!. then we went to writing about Obama and McCain weakness and strengths. after that we had Our 5 minutes transitions to ela. then we did out English energizer and we copied notes. then we did the 100 book challenge. then the whole class went to lunch and had fun !! after that we had gym had the girls played hockey. now is science and i have to work soo.. bye =] [=
